What is Portrait VSM Vital Signs Monitor system?

The GE Portrait VSM Vital Signs Monitor is a compact, versatile solution for modern healthcare, combining spot check and continuous monitoring. It offers seamless network connectivity (wired and wireless) and retains data even during power loss, ensuring uninterrupted monitoring. Built on trusted DINAMAP technology, the Portrait VSM provides accurate readings across patient populations with smart pressure control and digital signal processing, delivering reliable measurements in any care area.

Efficiency features like Round Advisor consolidate spot checks and observations on a single screen, with optional Early Warning Scores (EWS) to support proactive care. It also includes customizable SpO2 and temperature measurement options for accuracy across patient needs. Streamlined for digital workflows, the monitor integrates with EMRs via barcode scanning, an intuitive touchscreen, and HL7 or direct Cerner connection, making it a future-ready tool for efficient, high-quality patient care.

What clinical areas will use Portrait VSM Vital Signs Monitor system?

The portrait VSM is a replacement Vital Sign Machine (VSM) replacing the Dynamap VSMs. GE has recently made this change and UHS 5th Floor (MSSU Gold) will be the first area to receive these monitors. The plan is for the monitor to be connected via wire to the network to transmit data to MiChart. We would like SPO2 if able to trigger alarms and alerts (ConnexAll / SANS) and we would like the Nurse Call light outside the room to turn on (plugged into the Monitor 1 port)]
