Paging Services - Why was my Paging Request Cancelled?

I submitted a request for a Paging ID creation/change/deletion and it was cancelled. Why?

Answer

There are multiple reasons why a paging request might be cancelled, most often related to missing or incorrect information in the form.  Examples include:

  • Submitting a blank request or missing fields (uniqname, groups, etc.)
  • The recipient already has a Paging ID assigned in our paging system
  • Requesting Pagecopy on a device without Intune Company Portal
  • Requesting a regional or national pager without already having a statewide pager
  • Re-assigning Paging IDs from people to departments but not selecting the appropriate bullet in the request form
  • Submitter selected incorrect Option when identifying Paging ID type.
