Meridian - Faculty Roster Details


Introduction

The Faculty Roster lists all current faculty in the selected department or division. It is composed of a table containing the following faculty details:

  • PCN (position control number)
  • Faculty Name (and uniqname)
  • Current Appointments
    • There may be multiple listed here, which correspond to all appointments (admin, primary, and secondary) that a faculty member has. These are indicated with 'A', 'P', and 'S' icons ('T' refers to a tenured appointment).
  • Status
    • This is used to indicate if a faculty member is being promoted, or has some other positional status such as 'Leave of Absence'. It can also indicate the status of a new position being hired.

 

Switching Departments

If you have access to more than one department or division, the department name (next to the ROSTER title) will be a drop-down menu. This menu allows you to switch to a different department, which will refresh the list and show the faculty members in that department/division.

If you want access to a department/division that you currently do not have access to, or have questions about access in general, please contact the OFA Service Desk.

Pagination

If your department has more than 400 faculty members, the table will show multiple pages, with 400 faculty per page. (Most departments will have fewer than this number, and so will not see any pagination.) You can view the remaining faculty by using the pagination arrows in the top right of the table.


Sort and Filter

The table can be sorted or filtered to better find the information you want. See the Faculty Roster Sort and Filter help page for more information.


Export

The Roster's data can be exported into an external CSV (comma-separated values) file that you can use in Excel or other programs to view or manipulate the information. 

Clicking the Export button will give you two options: All and Filtered. "All" downloads all data known to the List page (including all filter options such as including in-process new hires) within the selected department; "Filtered" downloads only the data that correspond to any currently-applied filters (such as if you have narrowed to a specific Track).
