WaaS - Upgrading Flex Mode

Upgrading Flex Mode to Windows 11 22H2

For those who cannot upgrade to Windows 11, review these steps.

Step 1: Open Software Center.

  • Click on the Start menu icon or the magnifying glass.
  • Start typing "Software Center" and click on it when it comes up under "Best match."

Step 2: Click on the Updates tab and click "Install."

Step 3: Receive notification that your computer will restart.

  • Save any open documents and click on RESTART or SNOOZE.

Step 4: Receive notification that you'll be signed out and Windows will restart.

  • Click on Close.

  • The first part of the Windows 11 upgrade will take a long and variable amount of time in the background, possibly up to two hours.  During this "online" portion of the upgrade, you can continue to use the device.  However, a reboot is needed to complete the upgrade.  Once the device reboots, it goes into the "offline" portion of the upgrade which may take as little as 20 minutes or possibly longer than 80 minutes, depending on the age and performance of the device.
If the notification reminder is snoozed until the deadline has passed, you will receive the following notifications that your computer is about to restart (snooze will be greyed out):
