WaaS - Upgrade Instructions for Kiosk Mode Computers


Instructions

  1. Receive device restart notification
    1. Save any work you have open
    2. Click Restart or Snooze
      1. To snooze, select one of the following options:
        1. Later - The reminder notification is scheduled to launch again upon the next logon
        2. Fixed time - The reminder notification is scheduled to launch again after the selected time
          1. Example: Selecting 30 minutes means the reminder notification will appear again after 30 minutes
          2. Selecting any of the snooze options will launch the reminder notification again upon next logon


  2. Receive notification for restart
    1. The notification informs you that you'll be signed out of Windows and your device will shut down
    2. Select Close


  3. If the notification reminder was snoozed, you will receive the following notifications that your computer is about to restart
    1. Snooze is no longer an option and will be greyed out
    2. Clicking Restart will begin the upgrade immediately, or you can wait until the countdown is complete
    3. Save any work you have open






  4. Confirm that your upgrade was successful
