Overview
iSeek is a curriculum indexing tool utilized by the Office of Medical Student Education to index and consolidate curricular resources from required experiences in medical student education. iSeek crawls a variety of HITS software in addition to public resources (i.e. Pubmed) in order to provide a mechanism of a single location for identifying relevant curricular material.
iSeek is a Natural Language Understanding engine that leverages advanced linguistics and artificial intelligence to point you to the resources you are looking for. This means that iSeek will return results that match terms of, are synonyms of, or are related to your search query.
HITS resources indexed are Canvas, Box, Mediasite, the Anatomy Google Site, and the Histology website. Further information on what iSeek includes can be accessed through the iSeek search FAQ. Certain folders/files/Canvas courses are given permissions to either include or exclude specific results within those locations. iSeek can be found at the top of the Scientific Trunk or Clinical Trunk Canvas pages or accessed through the iSeek web view on the Medical Student Gateway Faculty, students or staff in Michigan Medicine can access iSeek through the web.
