Introduction
Installing Examplify on Windows and Mac Devices
These instructions are only for medical students who matriculated in the summer of 2020 or before, as they were not provided a HITS device as part of their onboarding experience. Currently, any medical student who matriculated in the Summer of 2021-on was given a HITS provided device and they must take their exams on their HITS provided device.
Instructions from ExamSoft can be found on their support website. Our medical school is on the Legacy Portal. Michigan Medicine does not allow iPads to be used for testing purposes.

Note: Do not upgrade your mac devices to the newest Mac OS until it shows up in the Mac system requirements. System Requirements for Windows can also be found on the site. |
Instructions
There are a few Michigan Medicine specific screens that are not included in ExamSoft's instructions.
1. Navigate to the University of Michigan Medical School ExamSoft Student Portal.
2. Select Login under the Exam Taker box
2. If you do not see this screen, but instead see a screen asking for a login username and password, select the blue link that says Federated Login to get to the above screen.
3. Follow the instructions from ExamSoft to download and install Examplify. If you have a Mac device with the new M1 Apple chip, ensure you follow the additional step listed on ExamSoft's website.
