What applications are included in Adobe Creative Cloud?

How do I install Adobe Creative Cloud apps?
- Install the Creative Cloud Desktop Application (CCDA).
The CCDA is the hub for Creative Cloud on your device. Once installed, the CCDA will automatically launch on user login. - Sign into the CCDA
- If the CCDA login screen doesn't automatically appear after launching the application, click on the Creative Cloud icon in the system tray. Open the system tray by clicking on the ^ on the taskbar near the clock and click on the Creative Cloud icon.

What if I only see the "Try" option and not the "Install" option in the CCDA?
If the "install" option is missing, contact the Adobe support team through the ITS Service Center if you have licensing issues or questions.
What if applications report sign-in or licensing errors?
Try signing into Adobe's website (https://account.adobe.com).
- If you are not successful, then open an incident with the Adobe support team through the ITS Service Center.
- If you are successful, then proceed to close all open Creative Cloud applications (if any), log out of the Create Cloud Desktop Application (CCDA), exit the CCDA (press Ctrl + W), re-open the CCDA, log back into the CCDA, re-open the application from within the CCDA that was reporting login errors or was reporting that it was not correctly licensed. If specific Creative Cloud applications still present authentication or licensing issues, uninstall and reinstall the application using the CCDA. If the CCDA doesn't report that the application is installed when you attempt to open it, then the application must be uninstalled from within Add & Remote Programs and then reinstalled using the CCDA. If you need assistance completing these steps, please open a Support Ticket with HITS.
Can I use the Adobe applications on more than one computer?
Yes, you can use them on up to two computers. When you install the applications and attempt to login on a third, the Adobe applications will ask you to log out of one or more of the previous computers. Logging into mobile apps does not count against your maximum of two concurrent logins.
Can I use the software offline?
Yes - however, your device must communicate with Adobe via the internet once every 90 days to validate your login information so that you can continue to use the applications.
Can I use Adobe cloud storage?
Michigan Medicine does not permit the use of Adobe cloud storage--neither Creative Cloud nor Document Cloud storage--for sensitive data. By installing Adobe Creative Cloud applications, you agree you will not store any sensitive data in Adobe's cloud storage. Michigan Medicine recommends using Microsoft OneDrive, Teams, and SharePoint for cloud storage.
Will the software run in the cloud?
While some features of Creative Cloud are only available online (for example Spark), you will need to install most of the software on your computer or mobile device.
Will the software work on a CoreImage Kiosk computer?
No, the Adobe Named User License model is not compatible with CoreImage Kiosk computers. Adobe Reader will continue to be offered on all CoreImage and Flex computers.
How do I get application updates?
- On CoreImage and Flex, Acrobat DC is kept up to date and patched by HITS.
- CoreMac and unmanaged computers rely on the Creative Cloud Desktop Application (CCDA) to apply Acrobat updates automatically.
- All computers will use the Creative Cloud Desktop Application (CCDA) to automatically update the rest of Creative Cloud applications.
How do I transfer/migrate files from one account to another?
Follow this step-by-step guide to use Adobe CC to migrate, or transfer assets.
What happens to my account when I leave Michigan Medicine?
First and foremost, make sure to back up your Adobe Creative Cloud data files locally. If you would like to continue using Adobe Creative Cloud after your departure, Adobe has several options available for purchase.
Can I use Adobe Stock?
Yes, the license agreement between the University of Michigan and Adobe allows for the use of images, graphics, or videos available in their catalog. Note: Some images, graphics, or videos may require a fee for use.
Why can't I open or edit PDFs embedded in email messages?
Document Cloud for the PDF service is disabled, download the file to your local or shared drive. When the PDF is delivered by e-mail outside the fax server it should be saved first--then it can be opened in Acrobat. After opening the embedded PDF link in your message, look for the download icon in the top right corner. Once the PDF has been downloaded to either your local or shared drive you may open the file.
