Windows Virtual Desktop - Remote Desktop from WVD to a CoreImage device

Introduction

Remote Desktop Connection allows you to view and control a computer remotely.  This article provides instructions for connecting from personal devices or unmanaged Michigan Medicine devices. HITS only supports access via our Windows Virtual Desktop (WVD) service.  One would connect to WVD from a personal or unmanaged device and connect to the CoreImage device from within WVD.

Read our Remote Desktop from Windows Device instructions if you are connecting from a CoreImage Windows device.

Read our Remote Desktop from Mac Device instructions if you are connecting from a CoreMac device.

  • Remote access to CoreMacs is disabled for security reasons.

  • HITS does not support using Remote Desktop to access a workstation that has Cisco Finesse software installed.
