Windows Virtual Desktop - Multiple Monitor Configuration

Introduction

Windows Virtual Desktop (WVD) supports multiple monitors when using Microsoft's Remote Desktop application. By default, the Windows Remote Desktop client application will span a WVD session across all monitors.  The macOS client does not.  Workflows may require you to have WVD on a single monitor or span multiple ones.

WVD does not support configuring multiple monitors when using a web browser.  HITS recommends using the desktop client.  Instructions are available for Windows PC or Mac.

Instructions

Use Microsoft's Remote Desktop client application.  Instructions are available here.  The following instructions assume you have already installed and configured the application to use Michigan Medicine's WVD.
