Exchange - Email bouncing for newly created mailbox


Question

I'm sending an email to a newly created user and the message is bouncing back to me as undelivered.

Newly created users may appear in the address book prior to having their mailbox created in o365.

Answer

The synchronization of user identities from on premise to the cloud happens every 30 minutes.  Delays are expected when creating new user mailboxes.  Try sending the email at a later time.
