Overview
MAXQDA is a software program designed for computer-assisted qualitative and mixed methods data, text and multimedia analysis in academic, scientific, and business institutions. It is being developed and distributed by VERBI Software.

Michigan Medicine / HITS Do not provide licenses for this software to our users. If you would like to use MAXQDA at Michigan Medicine you will need to purchase single user licenses directly from the vendor. We do not offer an application package to be installed on our CoreImage Windows environment so you will need to use the Just-In-Time Privileges process to install and manage the software on your devices. We have not assured the software's AI or cloud components for use at Michigan Medicine. All data should be stored locally on Michigan Medicine managed devices or our cloud storage tools.
As an alternative to MAXQDA, Lumivero NVivo is available for free to our University of Michigan Medical School (UMMS) affiliates and is also packaged for install in our managed computing environment.
