Management of Michigan Medicine provisioned software on a CoreMac (Izzy) device is done by the Managed Software Center application. This page will overview how to search for, install, and uninstall packaged applications on CoreMac (Izzy) via Managed Software Center.

Open Managed Software Center

Managed Software Center can be accessed by two methods.

1. Via the Michigan Block "M" on the menu bar.

2. Via Launchpad.

Installing Software

1. Under the Software tab, search for the software you would like to install.

2. Click Install.

Note: You can also browse groups of software by Categories

Removing Software

1. Managed Software Center

Managed Software Center can remove certain software.

• Under My Items, click Remove.

2. Finder

Software that cannot be removed via Managed Software Center can be removed from Finder.

• Open Finder

• Navigate to the Applications tab

• Right click on the application, then select Move to Trash

• Open the Trash bin

• Click Empty

• Click Empty Trash

Updating Software

Managed Software Center can also manage software updates.

1. Open Managed Software Center and navigate to the Updates tab

Note: Managed Software Center can managed both:

1. Operating System updates
2. Application updates

2. Click Update on the software you would like to update, or click Update All to run all available updates.
