Classic-CoreImage - Where do I find my device's information?


Introduction

HITS removed the internally developed Workstation Information application in June 2023 that aggregated miscellaneous information such as the Device Name, mode, GreenIT settings, and more.  Now, a user must use a variety of tools to view the same information on CoreImage Windows devices.

Instructions

Device Name (formerly known as, TermID) of your CoreImage device

Mode

  1. Open the start menu and type "cmd."  (Available only on non-Kiosk type modes.)
  2. Type Echo %Mode%.


Last time Maintenance ran

  1. Open C:\wsmgmt\LstMaint.log with the Notepad application.  (Available only on non-Kiosk type modes.) 
  2. Scroll to the bottom and look at the timestamp.

Logged in user

  • Settings > Accounts  (Available only on non-Kiosk type modes.)


GreenIT Settings

  • The GreenIT settings for the device are no longer available except to IT support staff (e.g., HITS Service Desk).
  • IT support staff can use the Fleet Configuration System (FCS) to look up the GreenIT settings [HITS Internal KB link] for customers.
