To request a license please submit a request through our BioRender request form.

Prerequisite: In order to qualify for a license you must have a primary appointment within Michigan Medicine or the University of Michigan Medical School (UMMS). 

After your license has been provisioned you will receive emails from BioRender with instructions on how to create your account (if necessary). More details on this process are below. You will also receive emails from ServiceNow with more instructions on how to login. 

Note: Michigan Medicine offers a limited number of BioRender licenses to provide to our users. If we hit our cap of licenses allowed you will be put on a wait list and we will inform you when a license becomes available for use.

Note: Existing BioRender customers who purchased a personal license within the 2024-2025 license year will be able to request a prorated return of the license purchase from BioRender directly once you’ve been granted the Michigan Medicine site license. Please contact the vendor by emailing them at support@biorender.com. This is a temporary offer by the vendor that will only be good for the remainder of 2025. 

Once your license has been provisioned by the Academic Applications team you will receive an email from BioRender (support@getbiorender.com)  and can sign into BioRender using this link: https://app.biorender.com/portal/university-of-michigan-medicine

BioRender is configured with SSO so you will sign in with your UMICH/Michigan Medicine credentials.
