FlowJo - BD Access Portal Error on sign-in


Introduction

With the FlowJo V11 upgrade sometimes the BD Access Portal will not launch when FlowJo starts up. When the BD Access Portal is not running FlowJo will present an error that prevents users from logging in. To resolve the issue launch the BD Access Portal from the start menu (Windows) or your applications menu (MacOS), it is not required to close and re-open FlowJo.

Instructions

FlowJo error message "The BD Access Portal application is not running. Please start BD Access Portal and sign in to begin a FlowJo Analysis."

If you see the above error when opening FlowJo search your applications for "BD Access Portal" or "FlowJo BD Access Portal" and launch it. After the application launches you should now be presented the Sign In button for FlowJo. It should not be required to restart FlowJo. 

Note: The "FlowJo BD Access Portal" is for CoreImage Windows users who have our managed package installed. CoreMac users will see the normal BD Access portal along with any CoreImage Windows users who did a hand install.
