Introduction
Michigan Medicine’s Third-Party Account Provisioning Policy requires that all vendors and contractors go through an identity proofing process and meet specific requirements to receive a Michigan Medicine account. Michigan Medicine uses 1Kosmos for this identity proofing process.
To receive a Michigan Medicine account, vendors and contractors must attain an identity assurance level (IAL) that Michigan Medicine has designated as commensurate with the access to resources that a Michigan Medicine account provides.
The identity proofing process requires vendors and contractors to provide identification documentation that will be scanned, and requires vendors and contractors to consent to the following terms during the process--failure to consent will prohibit vendors and contractors from receiving a Michigan Medicine account using this process:
- Consent to the use of biometrics on 1Kosmos’ site during the identity proofing process.
- Consent to share with Michigan Medicine personally identifiable information derived from the identification documentation.
Consent language is available here; provision of consent is requested during the actual identity proofing process.
