Lexicomp replaced Micromedex as the official medication reference tool for Michigan Medicine in December 2018. In order to access Lexicomp, you must be behind the firewall. 

There are multiple ways to access LEXIdrug/Lexicomp-related materials:

• Within MiChart: From "UMHS Links" (see screenshot below):
  
  

• Within MiChart at order entry and on the MAR: Medication-specific links have been embedded within Hyperspace.
• Via the mobile app available for download. Use this LEXIdrug/Lexicomp Mobile Access Instructions  link for mobile access instructions.

Note: the 'landing page' described in the W-K tip sheet is ONLY visible when you click on LEXIdrug/Lexicomp from the UMHS links as in the screenshot above.

• On the Department of Pharmacy website: see the link to the Lexicomp Online Quick Reference Guide.  Also see the Lexicomp section on the left hand side of this Pharmacy page - Education - Home .
• From the Clinical Homepage: Under the (Pharmacy/LEXIdrug) section.
  
  • For users who are on the internal Michigan Medicine Network such as Ethernet or UMHS-8021X they can access Lexicomp directly from the website https://online.lexi.com/lco/action/home.
  • Or via the shortcuts available on https://umhealth.sharepoint.com/sites/clinical (Pharmacy/LEXIdrug)

Remote users will need to access Lexidrug/Lexicomp through the Michigan Medicine Clinical Homepage (Pharmacy/LEXIdrug) page.
