Enroll an Android Smartphone into Duo Two-Factor Authentication

1. Tap to open the Google Play Store.
   
   
   
   
2. Search for Duo Mobile.
   
   
   
   
3. Tap to install Duo Mobile by Duo Security, Inc.
   
   

Configure and Activate the Duo Mobile Application

1. Visit https://lvl2.med.umich.edu/profile on a desktop or laptop.
   
   
2. Enter your Michigan Medicine (Level-2) account credentials.
   
   
   
   
3. Click on the Duo Settings tab and then click on U-M Duo Settings.
   
   
   1. If you have never enrolled before it will say "Enroll a Device in Duo" and then click Startup then skip to Step 5.
      
      
   2. If you have enrolled before click on Manage U-M Duo Account.
      
      
      
      
4. Click on Add a new device.
   
   
5. Select Mobile Phone.
   
   
   
6. Enter your Phone Number and check the box to verify it is correct then click Continue.
   
   
   
   
7. Make sure Android is selected and click Continue.
   
   
   
   
8. Click on I have Duo Mobile installed.
   
   
   
   
9. Open the Duo Mobile application on the phone.
   
   
   
   
10. Tap on Get Started.
    
    
    
    
11. Tap Allow to enable the picture and video as this is necessary to register the device.
    
    
    
    
12. Point the phone camera at the screen on your laptop/desktop with the QR Code in order to register.
    
    
    
    
13. A green check mark will appear when it is registered, at this point click Continue.
    
    
    
    
14. Your device will list University of Michigan on the profile page in Duo Mobile now.
    
    
    
    
15. Your device is now enrolled in Duo.
