CoreImage - How to enable multiple displays when using Windows Remote Desktop Connection


Introduction

Windows Remote Desktop Connection is used to remotely access another Windows computer.

The using remote desktop can also be referred to as RDP.

Instructions

  1. Ensure your local monitors are configured to your liking.
  2. Type Remote Desktop Connection into the start menu to open the application.
  3. Click Show Options.
  4. Click the Display tab.
  5. Check the box for "Use all my monitors for this remote session".
  6. Click Connect to sign in. 
    • Note that in order for your remote session to extend across all monitors, the main remote desktop window must be full screen.
