Introduction
The below instructions are the Audio/Visual Operation Manual for NCRC 018-G201. This room is also frequently referred to as the "The Dining Hall".
Instructions
Using the Default Microphone
There are 4 Hand-held Wireless Microphones and 4 Wireless Lapel Microphones, which are a default part of the Sound System in this room and are always at hand. They can be used by any group holding an event in the Dining Hall and can be activated as needed.
Location
The microphone equipment is located in the drawer of the mixing table behind the curtains under the screen. The following components are needed to use the microphone:
- Wireless Microphone - The microphones are located at the table behind the curtains.
- NOTE: Batteries are located on a charger in the storage area behind the curtains to the left just before entering the Dining Hall. Please return batteries to the charger if changed.
Powering Up
- Power on the System: Touch the screen on the podium to wake up the system.
- Power on the Wireless Mic: The switch is on the front of the wireless mic.
Volume Control
Adjusting the volume for Individual mics is done by pressing the Menu button in the upper left hand side of the touchscreen.
- DO NOT set any of these controls to their "MAXIMUM" setting. You will cause distortion and feedback.
Shutting Down
When the event is over:
- Select "Turn Off" in the upper right side of the podium touchpanel.
- Return the Wireless Mics to the back table.
- Turn off the lights
Room Layouts
Most meetings in the Dining Hall are set facing the windows. The Podium and screen are setup to enable this layout.
Setting up the Room
- Screen
- The default screen is a large dropdown screen, set butted up against the windows.
- Podium
- The podium is attached to the system by an umbilical cord, ensure it is secured by the velcro covers to avoid tripping.
- Projector
- Projector will take a few moments to power on, please be patient
- Supplying Podium with Power
- Ensure the power cable is secured to the outlets by the window. If using Advanced Mode, ensure Mixer is plugged into an outlet and the ethernet cable is plugged in
- umbilical should NOT be disconnected from the podium
- Microphones
- NOTE: Batteries are located on a charger in the storage area behind the curtains to the left just before entering the Dining Hall. Please return batteries to the charger if changed.
Shutting Down
- Power off all of the equipment.
- Select Turn Off on the upper right of the podium touchscreen, then select Yes to confirm that you want to turn off the system.
- Return microphones to the table by the windows.
- Please turn off the lights on your way out.
