When attempting to launch MiChart or another Citrix-hosted application via Vplaces (https://vplaces.med.umich.edu) from a CoreImage Windows or CoreMac device, you may receive the error below:

Citrix Receiver cannot create a secure connection in this browser. Refer to the Citrix Knowledge Center article CTX134123.

OR

• If you must use the VPN, use the MiChart shortcut in the CoreImage's start menu to launch MiChart.

CoreMac

• If you are using the VPN, disconnect from the VPN and reauthenticate to Vplaces.  You cannot be connected to the VPN and use Vplaces.

OR

• If you must use the VPN, follow these steps to trigger the Citrix client that is installed in the CoreMac set of applications.
  1. Open Account Settings in Vplaces.
     
     
  2. Click Change Citrix Workspace app.
     
     
     
  3. Proceed to access Vplaces again.
     
     
  4. Click Detect Citrix Workspace app.
     
     
     
  5. Click Open Citrix Workspace Launcher to open the Citrix client.  You may check the box to Always allow... if you wish.

Unmanaged or personally owned devices should use Windows Virtual Desktop at https://virtual.med.umich.edu.
