Introduction
Due to the recent increase in cybersecurity events related to Duo, both the “Call Me” and "SMS Text" authentication methods have been disabled for Michigan Medicine employees.
If you receive a Duo prompt for authentication that you did not request, your password is COMPROMISED. Deny the Duo request and contact the HITS Service Desk at 734-936-8000. Then change your password immediately at michmed.org/password.
ACTION REQUIRED NOW: If applicable, follow these instructions to change your Duo default authentication method away from the “Call Me” or SMS Text authentication feature.
Duo Push is often selected as the default authentication method during the initial Duo enrollment process. If Duo Push is not your default method, the following instructions will guide you through changing your default authentication method to Duo Push.
