Answer

  1. In the Microsoft Outlook Security Notice dialog, click Show Signature Details.


  2. In the Digital Signature Details dialog, click View Certificate.


  3. In the Certificate dialog, click Details.


  4. Click Copy to File...


  5. In the Certificate Export Wizard, click Next.


  6. Select format DER encoded binary X.509 (.CER), then click Next.


  7. Click Browse...


  8. Navigate to the Desktop, type an appropriate name for the certificate file, then click Save.


  9. Click Next.


  10. Click Finish.


  11. Click OK.


  12. Open File Explorer, then right-click the exported certificate file.
    1. If you're using the modern context menu, select Compress to... > ZIP File.


    2. If you're using the classic context menu, select Send to > Compressed (zipped) folder.


    3. You should now see another file next to your certificate file that is a ZIP file.


  13. Submit a ticket to HITS Device Support so HITS can investigate and release a fix.
    1. Attach the exported certificate ZIP file
    2. Specify the full path of the file that triggered the warning (e.g., C:\Program Files...)
    3. Specify the computer's Device Name

  14. In the Microsoft Outlook Security Notice dialog:
    1. If you believe the add-in is safe, click Enable application add-in.
    2. If you aren't sure the add-in is safe, click Disable application add-in.
