Introduction
Dropbox desktop app is available for CoreImage PCs via Software Center (Classic-CoreImage) or Company Portal (Intune-CoreImage). Determine your device's mode.
Once installed, the Dropbox desktop app will allow you to access your Dropbox files through your taskbar and File Explorer. For more information: What is the Dropbox desktop app?
The instructions below will guide you through the installation process for the Dropbox desktop app.
Note: To install applications from Software Center (Classic-CoreImage), you must be connected to the Michigan Medicine network through a wired connection (Ethernet), wireless (MFleet or UMHS-8021X), or if remote, via the VPN (Cisco Secure Client). To install applications from Company Portal (Intune-CoreImage), you can be connected to any network and VPN is not required.
Instructions
Classic-CoreImage
- Open Software Center from the start menu.
- Dropbox should be listed as one of the available applications.
- If you do not see Dropbox, click in the search bar and type Dropbox.
- If you still do not see Dropbox, run Maintenance on your computer.
- Click Dropbox.
- Click Install and wait for the installation to complete.
- The installation is complete when the button says Uninstall.
- Open the Dropbox desktop app via the start menu and sign in to begin using it.
Intune-CoreImage
- Open Company Portal from the start menu.
- In the search bar, type Dropbox and press Enter, then click Dropbox.
- Click Install and wait for the installation to complete.
- The installation is complete when the button says Reinstall.
- Open the Dropbox desktop app via the start menu and sign in to begin using it.
