Meridian - Release Notes July 2021


Introduction

The July 2021 release contains the following feature enhancements to the Planning, Hiring, and Promotion areas of Meridian:

  • Academic References (Hiring and Promotion):
    • Who chose the reference (Chair/Chief or Candidate) is now viewable directly in the table on the Hiring Detail page
    • The letter-type approval process by OFA is simplified, removing the duplicate Type designation and replacing it with a green checkmark / red X column
  • Packets (Hiring and Promotion):
    • Formatting of the auto-generated External References List page better matches Provost guidelines
    • References are listed as A,B,C, etc. for packets that require this
  • Tenure is now selectable (for applicable Tracks/Ranks) in Offer Prep when starting a new Hiring position
    • Tenure indication now appears in Hiring Detail, Candidate Site, Watchlist emails, and the Reference Site
    • Reference solicitation emails' mention of tenure now comes from the selection in Offer Prep
  • Academic Start Dates must be reviewed (and corrected if old) in Hiring when initiating from a planned change.
  • Credentialing's Candidate Attestation in Hiring now combines the signed signature form with the 'Application' (candidate details)
  • Credentialing's "Links for Reference" labeling has been revised, with better guidance for Departments and Candidates
  • Department users can now see more status details about Clinical Assessments in Credentialing
  • Additional promoted appointments for a given faculty member (if applicable) now appear on the Reference Site
  • Reference solicitation emails for Promotion now use the candidate's legal name (not preferred name)
  • A faculty member can only have one active promotion workflow per appointment per promotion cycle
  • Compensation field labels and calculations have been updated on Planning detail page
  • Planning List page is now exportable to CSV (Excel)
  • Other visual and technical improvements
