MiChart - View Only Access


Introduction

MiChart "View Only" access requires multiple steps.

For MC-RE20001V Research View Access, please see Guidelines for MiChart-Research Access Requests for the required process.

For all other View Only accesses, please follow the process below. 

  1. You must complete the corresponding eLearning curriculum below via Cornerstone. Within the curriculum, you must complete anything that is listed as required. If there are instructions listed as part of the curriculum, you must read them and then click Mark Complete to access additional learnings within the curriculum. You should also complete any optional eLearnings relevant to your department or area.

    • MC-RV11010V Hospital and Professional Billing View Access with Reports
      • includes Hospital (Resolute) and Professional Billing with the ability to run reports
    • MC-RV11011V Hospital and Professional Billing View Access with Reports
      • includes Hospital (Resolute) and Professional Billing
    • MC-UV20001V MiChart Clinical View Access
      • includes information for clinical and non-clinical roles for both Ambulatory and Inpatient

A Cornerstone facilitator in your area or your manager can assign the appropriate curriculum for you. 

 

  1. Your manager or department's Access Liaison must submit an application request through the Account Request Tool (ART). The Access Liaison must specify which ONE MiChart application you need "View Only" access to in the MiChart text box (see example below).
    • For more information about ART and how to submit an ART request, please visit this page.
    • NOTE: If you have a Michigan Medicine (UMICH) Account, are a clinical user (per HR data), and complete the eLearning requirements, no ART request is required for MiChart Clinical View Only access. Once you complete the training, your account will be automatically provisioned.

Cornerstone Step-by-Step Directions

  1. Log into Cornerstone using your uniqname and Level-2 password.
  2. Any outstanding curriculums will be listed in your transcript.
  3. Click on the desired curriculum and complete all learnings listed
