Instructions

Mandatory Assignments for New Hires: Most new employees will have an Cornerstone account prior to their start date, however, Cornerstone does not receive appointment data until the person's start date. Due to that, Institutional Mandatories may take up to 48 hours after the start date to be assigned to a learner.

New Employee Orientation certifications will be assigned on the employee's start date. More information is available on the Michigan Medicine Human Resources page. You can also view Cornerstone:New Employee Onboarding Process and Impact to Access and Training Assignments for further details on the Cornerstone process.

Non Michigan Medicine Employees: Some staff such as students, contractors, researchers or volunteers may get Institutional Mandatories automatically assigned or they will need to be assigned manually by a Cornerstone facilitator.  All users affiliated with Michigan Medicine with a level 2 account are required to complete COMP-C10000.
