Cornerstone-Update Manager


Introduction

Audience: Anyone who needs to update the Manager on an employee's Cornerstone profile if the manager listed on an employee's Cornerstone profile is missing or is incorrect.

Please note that people listed in Cornerstone as managers are you are either listed as an employee's supervisor in MPathways or you are listed as the responsible person for a person with a sponsored level 2 account.  If you want to update a sponsored person, please see the Michigan Medicine Account Request Tool (ART) knowledge document.

Instructions

  1. Cornerstone uses M-Pathways Supervisor ID data to populate the Manager data in Cornerstone. Cornerstone will receive Supervisor ID updates for any employees with regular or temp appointments, and this will overwrite the existing manager values for that staff person in Cornerstone.

    Procedures to update Supervisor in MPathways/Wolverine Access:
    Single User Updates
    Multiple User Updates

  2. If a student is also a Michigan Medicine employee, their manager will be automatically populated from M-Pathways based on their job data.

NOTE: Manager details are not typically automatically associated with these types of learners in Cornerstone. If a manager is manually added for one of these users in Cornerstone it will remain on the learners profile until it is manually removed or replaced with a new manager.

3. Is this an agency temp, contractor, volunteer, or visiting faculty who you have sponsored with a level 2 account?

Note to HITS Service Desk, if there is an issue with a learner's manager who is an agency temp, contractor, volunteer, student or visiting faculty, please escalate the incident to the Workforce Applications team.
