Introduction
The Joint Commission and the Center for Medicaid and Medicare Services have instituted new training requirements for all UMH employees (regular and temporary), volunteers, contractors, and some Medical School employees. We are required to provide emergency preparedness training as follows:
- On hire
- Biennially
- Whenever there are significant changes to an emergency preparedness policy or plan
As of November 2024, a new curriculum, Emergency Management Preparedness Training PREP-C10057 will be available and assigned every two years, allowing staff to choose to take either the full module or an abbreviated module that indicates their knowledge of this subject.
Training Completion Email Received on 11/26/24: Upon the initial assignment of PREP-C10057, individuals who stayed in compliance received a training completion email, which included links and resources for Emergency Management Operations Preparedness Training. Please note that this is not a training assignment. You will be assigned PREP-C10057 when your biennial completion is due.
