What is the Cornerstone Manager Training Overdue Digest email?


Question

1. What is the Cornerstone Manager Training Past Due Digest email and why am I getting it?  What do I do with the information? 

2. My staff said they have completed the training that is listed as past due on my manager Training Past Due Digest email.  Why could this happen? 

3. I am listed as the responsible person for Michigan Medicine sponsored affiliates (students, vendors, contractors, researchers, etc), why am I receiving this email for non-MM employees?

4. Can I opt out of the Cornerstone Manager Training Past Due Digest email? 

 

Answer

1. People who are listed as a manager in Cornerstone receive the Cornerstone Manager Digest email monthly when direct reports have training that is more than one month overdue as of the first of the month.  If you received it, you are either listed as an employee's supervisor in MPathways or you are listed as the responsible person for a person with a sponsored level 2 account. If you are not a manager/responsible person, please see the Cornerstone - Update Manager or Michigan Medicine Account Request Tool (ART) - User Guide knowledge articles to request updates.

The email informs the recipient that people who report to them have training that is currently more than one month past due as of the first of the month. This email is sent on a monthly basis only if people are past due. Use this information to remind the people that report to you of training that is past due, so that they are in compliance with Joint Commission and other regulatory bodies.

2.  The Cornerstone Manager Training Past Due Digest email is a point in time look at your employee's trainings.  Please check the person's transcript for the most up to date information. 

If you believe any of these trainings have been assigned incorrectly, please review the employee's User Record > User Questionnaire section to ensure accuracy (changes to the user record, may take up to 24 hours to update a user's transcript).  For instructions and more information about the User Questionnaire, please reference: Cornerstone - Manager - User Record/User Profile Changes. 4.  No.  This email is sent to all managers, exceptions are not possible.
