What is the Cornerstone Manager Training Overdue Digest email?

Question

1. What is the Cornerstone Manager Training Past Due Digest email and why am I getting it?  What do I do with the information?

2. My staff said they have completed the training that is listed as past due on my manager Training Past Due Digest email.  Why could this happen?

3. I am listed as the responsible person for Michigan Medicine sponsored affiliates (students, vendors, contractors, researchers, etc), why am I receiving this email for non-MM employees?

4. Can I opt out of the Cornerstone Manager Training Past Due Digest email?

Answer

1. Managers in Cornerstone receive the monthly Manager Training Past Due Digest when any direct report (including students, vendors, and non-MM employees) has training that is over one month overdue as of the first of the month. You are receiving it because you are listed as the person’s supervisor in MPathways or as the responsible person for someone with a sponsored Level 2 account.

If information is incorrect and you should not be receiving this email:

  • For sponsored affiliates or vendors with a level 2 account, please use the ART User guide to correct their information within the ART system. Corrected data will then be sent to Cornerstone.

Use the digest to follow up with staff so they remain compliant with Joint Commission and other regulatory requirements.

2.  The digest shows a point‑in‑time snapshot. For the current status, check the employee’s Cornerstone transcript.
If training does not appear to be something the employee should be required to complete, review the employee’s User Record → User Questionnaire. After making any changes, training may take 24-48 hours to update or be removed. See Cornerstone – Manager – User Record/User Profile Changes for guidance.

3. See the Cornerstone Learning – Requirements for Vendors or Michigan Medicine Account - Non Employee

4.  No, This email is sent to all managers, exceptions are not possible. You can set an Outlook rule to have the email sent directly to a folder, so that it will not appear in your new email.
