HITS configured your CoreImage device to set your default web browser to Microsoft Edge when you first sign into Windows.

However, if you want to set it to Chrome or you are experiencing an issue related to your default web browser not being configured correctly, you can manually set it using the instructions below.  Note that these instructions do not apply to Kiosk-mode devices.

Windows 10

1. Click the Start button, and then type Default apps.
   
   
2. In the search results, select Default apps or click the link:  Open Default apps.
   
   
   
3. Under Web browser, select the browser currently listed, and then select either:
   1. Microsoft Edge (Michigan Medicine's recommended browser for the best Microsoft 365 experience)
      or
   2. Google Chrome.
      

Note that Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome are the only supported browsers on CoreImage devices.

Windows 11

1. Click the Start button > Settings.
   
   
   
2. Click Apps > Default apps or Open Default apps.
   
   
   
3. Scroll down and select Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome.
   
   
   
4. Next to Make Microsoft Edge (or Google Chrome) your default browser, select Set default.
   

Note that Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome are the only supported browsers on CoreImage devices.
