Instructions
The options for recovering your Michigan Medicine account depend on whether or not you went through identity proofing when you first received your Michigan Medicine account. If you did not go through identity proofing, please proceed to Non-Identity Proofed Users; if you went through identity proofing, please go to Identity Proofed Users.
Navigate to https://michmed.org/password, click on Recover your Account.
Enter your Uniqname. Click Next
- Important: After clicking Next, your current password will become unusable, so you must complete the process of setting your new password
Enter your Date of Birth (MM/DD) and UMID and click Next.
In the Michigan Medicine Identity Proofing Tool Identity Verification page, click on Login to Verify.
On the Michigan Medicine Sign In page, enter your 1Kosmos Username, then click on Next.
On the Michigan Medicine Sign In page, enter your 1Kosmos Password, then click on Next.
Allow your image to be captured to complete the login process.
Enter your pin
Click on 1Kosmos Logout.
Follow the instructions to reset your UMICH password.
