Overview

Get support for AV technology and reserve rooms across Michigan Medicine.

Immediate Support

Immediate AV support is available in select rooms to assist the medical education community. Our IT professionals provide in-person troubleshooting for connections, devices, and AV equipment, ensuring smooth operations. We strive to minimize disruptions in high-traffic areas and keep your events running smoothly.

Request Room Tech Support for Future Events

HITS and our partner, City Events Group, offer scheduled AV support for hospital and medical school events.

  • HITS: Supports designated spaces during regular business hours, Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM.
  • City Events Group: Provides additional support for weekend and evening events, including many hospital spaces.

 

Please submit your request in the Help Center as early as possible.

  • Events during business hours: 2-day notice required
  • Evening or weekend events: 7-day notice required

Recording Your Event, Lecture, or Meeting

Lecture capture support is available on a case-by-case basis. Recordings are scheduled and managed by the HITS Classroom Technology Services team. Please submit a request for event support and lecture capture at least 2 days in advance to ensure proper setup.

  • Taubman Health Sciences Library: 2901, 2903

Report an Issue with Room Technology

If you encounter broken or faulty equipment in a room or lecture hall, please submit a ticket through the Michigan Medicine Help Center. We aim to respond within one business day.

Training, Documentation, and Guides

Audiovisual Training Sessions: Schedule a training session by specifying the room location and available date(s). Please submit your request at least five business days before your event. 404 Link

Reserve a Room

We offer a variety of spaces that can be reserved for study groups, meetings, or events. Many rooms are equipped with AV technology for hybrid use, allowing seamless interaction between in-person and remote participants.

 

How to Reserve a Room
Visit Schedulon (external link) and log in using your UMICH credentials. First-time users should request a Schedulon account via the Michigan Medicine Help Center.

Update or Upgrade Room Audiovisual Technology

We offer full AV consultation and upgrade services, including:

  1. Consultation: We'll learn about your vision for the space and provide budget estimates.
  2. Design & Procurement: We assess the environment, design a solution, and handle equipment procurement.
  3. Installation & Training: Our team will install and validate the equipment, with training available for staff and faculty.
  4. Ongoing Support: We’ll ensure your system stays safe and operational throughout its lifecycle.
