The Room Technology Services team delivers comprehensive audiovisual services for scheduled events and immediate assistance needs. Our commitment to excellence ensures smooth and successful events regardless of scale or complexity.

Our Services:

  • In-person support for a wide range of events, ensuring seamless AV operations through meticulous planning, setup, and real-time troubleshooting
  • On-demand assistance in many areas, addressing urgent technical issues and ensuring that all AV equipment functions optimally during critical moments. 
  • Service Hours: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

  • Our staff is onsite and available to assist in over 120 centrally-managed locations across the Ann Arbor Medical School, University Hospital, the Pavilion and North Research Campus.
  • Room Technology Services support is available at no-charge. To ensure the availability of immediate assistance, look for signage in the room to request help.

Services Summary
Service Description

In room training on AV equipment

Please provide 2 days notice. Request room training for reoccurring events or events outside of business hours, Lecture Capture, or consultation on room capabilities for an upcoming event. 
Event Support

Please provide 2 days notice. Set up, monitoring, and troubleshooting IT equipment and systems during events. This includes ensuring proper functionality of AV equipment, network connectivity, and software tools, as well as addressing technical issues that arise to ensure a seamless experience for participants.

Immediate Assistance  On-the-spot troubleshooting and resolution for urgent technical issues. This includes diagnosing problems, offering quick solutions, and ensuring minimal disruption to end-users.
Regular Room Checks

Technicians visit supported rooms on a regular basis to proactively ensure equipment works well. This includes on-the-spot troubleshooting, innate escalation of issues, and making sure the room is usable or has alternative options available.

Q. How do I schedule event support from the Room Technology Team?  

A. You can Request Room Support in the Help Center. Please provide at least two days' notice for events during business hours.

 

Q: Do you support events outside of business hours? 

 A. We only support events 8-5, Mon-Fri, at this time. But we can provide a room check the day before your event, or train staff on how to use the room equipment

 

Q. I’m not sure if I need event support but would like some training in a space, is this possible?

A. Yes! We offer in-room training that you can Request Room Support in the Help Center. Please provide at least two days' notice for events during business hours.  

    

Q.  I need to book a space for my event, can you book it for me? 

A. We are not able to book a space for you, but you are more than welcome to book your space through the Schedulon by EMS application 

 

Q.  Do you provide Immediate assistance at NCRC? 

A. At this time immediate assistance is not offered at NCRC, but you can book for event support if you have an event at one of our supported NCRC spaces. 

 

Q. When booking a room, how can I be sure your services are offered is a space I need? 

A. You can now search for "rts" as a *feature and view only rooms that offer our services. Due to limitations of the software this needs to by typed in lowercase. 

 

Q.  How do I report an issue with room equipment? 

A. You can submit a ticket to the RTS team to report any issues with the room equipment.
