The Academic Research Public Profile / EWP showcases the faculty to an audience outside of the University of Michigan (to news and media outlets for example).

How to create your Edit Academic Profile:
The Department of Communications outlines the fields in Elements that faculty members need to complete for their academic profile as well as the mapping of Elements fields to the academic profile fields HERE.
However, there are two exceptions where information on the academic profile does not come from Elements, both of which are addressed in the PowerPoint document:
- Faculty photos: Please send your department's faculty photos request to HITS @ michigan-experts-help@umich.edu requesting an upload to your EWP Academic Profile . Photos should be at least 500x500 pixels.
- Faculty titles: These are sourced from MCommunity. The Elements titles come from HR. That is why the Experts and Elements title differ from the academic profile titles.
