1. Web-Grounded Chat: Copilot Chat leverages both web data and your organization's Microsoft 365 data to provide comprehensive and accurate responses. This dual grounding ensures that users can access relevant information quickly and efficiently
2. File Uploads and Analysis: Users can upload documents directly into the chat and ask Copilot to summarize key points, analyze data, or suggest improvements. This feature supports a wide range of file types, including Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, and PowerPoint presentations
3. Enterprise Data Protection: Copilot Chat includes robust security features to protect enterprise data. IT administrators can govern access, manage usage, and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations
   1. Please note: Microsoft Copilot is approved for "High" Data Sensitivity, including ePHI.
   2. Data entered into Microsoft Copilot is not incorporated into the Large Language Model (LLM) used to generate responses.

Getting Started

To start using Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat, follow these steps:

1. Access Copilot Chat: You can access Copilot Chat through the Microsoft 365 app launcher or directly at m365.cloud.microsoft/chat.
2. Interact with Copilot: Use text commands to interact with Copilot. You can ask questions, request summaries, or generate new content. Copilot's responses are designed to be clear, concise, and actionable.

Best Practices

• Write Clear Prompts: Be specific about what you want Copilot to do. Clear and concise prompts lead to better results.
• Iterate and Refine: Don't settle for the first response. Refine your prompts and iterate to get the best possible outcome
• Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat is a powerful tool, but it does have some limitations: 
  • File Upload Limits: There are constraints on file uploads, including a maximum file size of 512MB and a limit of 500 files. 
  • The recommended browsers for accessing Copilot Chat are Edge, Chrome, and Safari.
  • Image generation is limited to 1 per day.
