Overview
Starting February 25, 2026, ITS will cut over its services to leverage Okta as its Identity Provider for services that it supports.
Step 1: The UMICH Okta sign-in page
Enter your uniqname.
Note: The username field says 'uniqname or email address'. The email address is designed to allow users who do not have a uniqname. All university faculty, staff, students, and sponsored accounts who have a uniqname should use that as your username.
Step 2: Enter password into the UMICH Okta sign-in page
Enter password and hit the Verify button.
Step 3: Choose your multifactor option
Based on the multifactor devices you have registered, you will be presented with a list of options available for you to use. Choose the option of your choice.
(Note: It is possible some options are limited based on the security policy of a particular application.)
Step 4: Validate with your chosen method
In this example, we've chosen Okta Verify - Push Notification. This will prompt with a number challenge. Open your Okta Verify app and match the number to complete the login process.
